The LG KE850 "Prada" officially announced yesterday

LG KE850 is one of the devices which won the iF Product Design Award 2007. Featuring a full touch-control design, the new handset is the result from the collaboration between the Korean manufacturer and the Prada design team. There are no informations about this handset, except some photos and rumors about a touch screen mobile device.

This phone has a simple design, it's slim enough and the screen take the most part of the phone's front face. The Prada phone would feature a large 3" LCD touch screen display with 240 x 400 pixels resolution and would also have a 2 megapixel camera and a microSD memory card slot.

This device has no keyboard because the touch screen will solve all the necessary tasks. There are just three buttons Send, End and Confirm, in the bottom of the screen and these buttons permit the accepting or resigning the calls.

In the existing photos, shortcuts for Media and Office could be noticed, so maybe the office documents would be opened and edited directly from the phone.

The PRADA Phone by LG will be available with prices starting from 600 EUR in the UK, France, Germany and Italy as of late February, 2007, followed by countries in Asia such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore from late March, 2007. Apple's iPhone

Apple announced the "all in one" awaited iPhone. It's exciting features give users the opportunity to use it as an iPod and a mobile phone in the same time, an advanced internet device, an amazing digital camera and a portable PIM (Personal Information Management) organizer. With it's new features the Apple's iPhone brings you the multimedia world at a tip of your finger.

The iPhone can be viewed as an widescreen iPod due to it's most important features: the integrated memory (4/8GB) which is more than enough to bring all the multimedia content you want on your phone and a touchscreen control with multi-finger gestures with no need for a stylus, that allow you to enjoy all your content, including photos, music, movies, audiobooks and TV shows. iPhone allows you to sync content from your iTunes library on your PC or Mac, making that content also accessible with just the touch of a finger.iPhone users will be able to scroll through songs, artists, albums, and playlists with just a flick of a finger.

Now, lets take a look to that features that make the Apple's iPhone a great communication tool. You can call by simply pointing your finger at a name or number in your address book; all your contacts from a PC, Mac, or Internet device are also automatically synchronized; you can select and listen to voice mail messages in whatever order you want; calls can easily be merged together with just the touch of a button to create a conference call - conference calling has never been easier.

The iPhone is able to store your contacts, tasks, notes and calendar events due to it's phonebook, to-do list, calendar features, which make it an amazing portable PIM organizer. iPhone is a quad-band GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) mobile, has no 3G support (one of it's dezavantages) and has Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) and Bluetooth 2.0 support.

The other strengths of this multimedia device are more or less Internet-oriented, since the iPhone offers exceptional web browsing capabilities thanks to the Safari web browser with integrated Google and Yahoo search plus the Google Maps application that can take you all over the world - unfortunately without a GPS receiver.

The Apple iPhone also features an amazing 2-megapixel camera, as well as a photo management application unlike anything available on a phone today. Users can sync photos from a PC or Mac, browse or email them with just a touch of the screen.

The iPhone incorporates an accelerometer, which detects when a user switches from holding the phone in landscape to portrait mode, and automatically updates the image on screen to fit the mode. The sensors also detect when you put the iPhone near your phone, and automatically shuts off the display screen until you move it away to save on battery power. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the screen's brightness to the appropriate level for the current ambient light, which enhances user experience and also saves on battery power.

The phone is expected to come out in June 2007 in USA, Europe in the fourth QTR and Asia in 2008 and it will be available exclusively on Cingular for $499 on a two-year contract for the 4GB version and $599 for the 8GB version.
