Today, appeared a picture that presents what is claimed to be the "Google Switch" mobile phone, a new product of the Google - Samsung collaboration. The authenticity of this photo has not yet been verified, but if this image represents indeed a Google product, not a Photoshop fake, the Apple's iPhone launching will have to manage a serious problem.
What we know is the fact that the two teams, Google and Samsung, worked togheter in the past and the newly Ultra Edition 13.8 is the concrete proof. This mobile phone is a super slim one, but not as the one pictured in this photo. If we listen to the rumors, the "Google Switch" has no on-board storage; all the existing applications are served up over the network.
Until we find more concrete information about this new Samsung - Google mobile phone, we will find and analyze every interesting rumor.
Pantech is addressing all of high fashion needs with their all-new IM-U170.
The major Korean phone maker has certainly taken the minimalist approach with this new phone, keeping the package skinny and simple, yet loading it with some rather nifty features. For example, it comes with the first face-recognition mobile game in the industry. The on-board VGA camera tracks your face (which also comes in handy for video telephony). There is a second 2.0 mega pixel camera for actual picture-taking.
Available now under the SKY brand in Korea, the IM-U170 comes wrapped in a magnesium casing, sports a metallic keypad with EL light, and focuses on a "dynamic and elegant GUI."
LG announced in Great Britain, 7 February as the launching date of the Shine mobile phone.
Great Britain is the first market except Korea, that can sell this new LG mobile phone. LG haven't unveiled the phone specifications and will not do this until the launch. Shine is the second phone from the "premium" series. It has a 2.2. inches screen size with a magic mirror that looks like a normal one when the phone is inactive.
The Korean specifications shows that the phone features a 2 mega pixels camera and a square keyboard like the Chocolate model.
LG KE850 is one of the devices which won the iF Product Design Award 2007. Featuring a full touch-control design, the new handset is the result from the collaboration between the Korean manufacturer and the Prada design team. There are no informations about this handset, except some photos and rumors about a touch screen mobile device.
This phone has a simple design, it's slim enough and the screen take the most part of the phone's front face. The Prada phone would feature a large 3" LCD touch screen display with 240 x 400 pixels resolution and would also have a 2 megapixel camera and a microSD memory card slot.
This device has no keyboard because the touch screen will solve all the necessary tasks. There are just three buttons Send, End and Confirm, in the bottom of the screen and these buttons permit the accepting or resigning the calls.
In the existing photos, shortcuts for Media and Office could be noticed, so maybe the office documents would be opened and edited directly from the phone.
The PRADA Phone by LG will be available with prices starting from 600 EUR in the UK, France, Germany and Italy as of late February, 2007, followed by countries in Asia such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore from late March, 2007. The Korean version of the phone is scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2007.
